PLA (Many Colors) - A bioplastic with good strength qualities. Generally an indoor plastic. Great for Prototypes. Crystalline structure. Semi-gloss. PLA can be sanded to some extent and can be painted. Most shapes can be printed and is the least expensive. Landfill friendly. (PDF)
POLYMAX PLA (Black/White, colors can be ordered) - Can be used to give your part a little give as regular PLA is rigid. Makes parts overall more durable. 280 F softening temperature which is very high. Semi-gloss. More expensive than PLA. Landfill friendly. (PDF)
POLYCARBONATE (White) - A good choice if higher temperature resistance is needed along with high impact strength. It is more difficult to print. Helmets are made of polycarbonate. It is limited in what shapes can be printed. (PDF)
NYLON (Whitish) - Gears, bolts, and living hinges are usually made with nylon. It is generally tougher and is very slick which makes it self lubricating. It is more difficult to print so not all shapes can be printed. Parts can not be painted, they have to be dyed. There is a limit to the shapes that will print. (PDF)
ABS/ASA (Black) - An outdoor plastic. Is very durable outdoors as it is UV fade resistant and has a high melting point. Is more expensive than PLA. Overall good impact strength. Semi-Glossy. (PDF)
